Layout and design
Summary
My website theme
- If I change my site design theme, will I lose all my work?
-
Managing site content and your visual theme are two separate things. When you alter your site design, you won't lose any of your content, such as pages or files. However, once you apply a new theme (different from the one you currently use), all changes made to your existing design will be lost, including the layout of menus.
- How do I change the background image/wallpaper of my website?
-
From your site manager, navigate to the Configuration > Personalize design menu and select the "Intermediate (guided)" tab.
From there, select "Page background", and click the link "Manage background image" to access a pop-up window. From here, you can personalize your background image by either choosing a pre-existing design or by uploading an image file of your own.
Don't forget to save your changes when you're finished! - What is a doomby visual design or theme? How do I change it?
-
Themes are ready-made, unified visual designs (sometimes called skins) that you can apply to your doomby website to replace all of the settings found in the Configuration > Personalize design menu. With one click, you can change the whole look of your website, including colors, backgrounds, text formatting and menu layouts.
To change your website theme, head to the Configuration > Design themes menu of your member zone.
Remember that once you apply a design theme, all personalized settings will be changed.
Colors
- How do I change the colors of my website?
-
You can change the colors of your website by navigating to the Configuration > Personalize design menu and selecting the "Using a form" tab.
The whole structure of your website design is broken down into various, clearly labeled sections ("Back background", "Site header", "Website contents" etc). Scroll down the page and explore them all, to find the section you want to personalize.
Always remember to click "Save" at the bottom of the page when you've finished. - How do I change the color of a link?
-
Although there are several different kinds of links you can personalize (side menu links, top or bottom links, rollover text link color etc.), you change them all from one place.
To alter the way your links display, navigate to the Configuration > Personalize design menu, and scroll down to the appropriate section (if you're not sure it's the right one, just pass your mouse over the question mark to bring up a help bubble).
